Dr. Randal Haggard is in his thirty-eighth year of service in public education. He spent most of his childhood on the Central Coast of California, and attended elementary and middle school there before moving to the San Joaquin Valley where he attended high school. Dr. Haggard completed his Bachelor of Arts, Teaching Credentials and Master of Arts degrees at Fresno Pacific University. His doctorate in Education was conferred at University of California, Davis. He is credentialed as a teacher, administrator and reading specialist.
Dr. Haggard started his career with twelve years as a classroom teacher in Upland, California before moving back to central California. His first administrative post was with Yosemite Unified School District in the Sierra Nevada foothills where he served the community for nineteen years. He served as a high school Assistant Principal, K-8 Principal, and TK-Adult Director of Curriculum with Yosemite Unified before relocating to beautiful Buellton to serve as Superintendent beginning in 2016.
Dr. Haggard is proud of his family, his faith, and his country. He loves all forms of music, but is particularly fond of rock-n-roll (especially live). He makes noises with a guitar, is a student of the piano, enjoys reading and travel, and loves wild places.
